It all began in February of 2015...
Our Story
Dani was a freshman at Marquette, while Andrew was a sophomore at the University of Illinois. He had started a tradition of visiting his high school friends & cousin at Marquette for their spirit day, National Marquette Day.
In 2015, Andrew happened to be visiting on Dani's very first NMD. As Dani was walking to the basketball game she recognized a familiar face crossing the Evans Scholar Parking lot -- Andrew. The two chatted and formally introduced themselves joking over their mutual connection of Saint Ignatius & Andrew's cousin. Unfortunately, the two had to go their separate ways & wouldn't connect again until future NMDs.
Fast forward to 2019 and the freshly graduated Dani and Andrew had each moved back to Chicago. The two reconnected and started going on various dates around the city. When Andrew had finally decided to make it official, he asked Dani to be his girlfriend at Oak Street beach. The couple celebrated with rooftop drinks at Zed 451, which has since been transformed into Chicago Winery.
From their first date as boyfriend and girlfriend to their first date as husband and wife, the couple can't wait to celebrate a true full circle moment.

"Did you watch the game?" If you've ever spent a few minutes talking to Andrew, you would soon find out he is a passionate sports fan. He loves his Chicago teams, but above all else bleeds orange and blue for the University of Illinois.
Lucky for Andrew, Dani has certainly earned her orange and blue stripes after the many years of dealing with the highlights & lowlights of those pesky Illini. And lucky for Dani, Andrew has found a soft spot for Marquette sports. The couple loves attending games and rooting for their alma maters together, unless the two schools are playing each other...let's not talk about 2021.
"What's for Dinner?" Fortunately for Andrew, he's not typically the one answering that question as his future top-chef wife takes care of most meals. Dani especially loves to bake and fix up the most important part of any feast, dessert.
"Weren't you in Hawaii?" is Dani's most asked question amongst family and friends. The answer is yes! The couple spent an amazing summer on the Island of Oahu back in 2021 as Dani took on a travel nurse position during the COVID pandemic.
Andrew added a destination work trip of his own this past April when he brought Dani along to Barcelona. The two love to travel and have many places to visit on their bucket list.
